Vicious attacks on Mia make her more popular

The Barbados Labour Party leader Mia Amor Mottley has been the main target of the Democratic Labour Party campaign of nastiness. Campaign Manager for the BLP, DrJerome Walcott made these remarks at a press conference held yesterday afternoon, at the BLP headquarters, Roebuck Street, St Michael.

And in ” the face of the abuse she has been stoic and graceful, like a true queen, she has opted to take the high road and demonstrated remarkable strength of character”, Walcott said.He told reporters, ” the level of nastiness which the DEMS introduced into this campaign has been shocking to the core. Not only to Team BLP 2018, but every decent, right thinking Barbadian”.

The Campaign Manager said that just before the start of the campaign, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart talked about making history. Well, the Dems have surely made history, not fighting for some noble cause, but for the notoriety of their gutter politics.

He said, the Dems evidently saw nasty personal attacks as an escape route to avoid accountability for the awful mess in which they have landed this country…because of their mismanagement which yielded failure after failure…. the performance of our economy has slipped to an all time low.

He added: “the ‘bombshell’ which Prime Minister Fruendel Stuart and the Dems were counting on to destroy our leader has backfired. It is now apparent that it was a vicious untruth as confirmed by the documentary evidence produced at a press conference held on Tuesday.”

Walcott continued, “the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister should now do the honourable thing and apologise to the people of Barbados for misleading them… and also apologise to the elderly prominent local jurist whom he besmirched by his assertions on Sunday night.”
Walcott, told reporters, as the campaigning enters the final week. “Team BLP is in high spirits, but we are taking nothing for granted. The Dems on the other hand are demoralized and psychologically stunned, especially stunned after our release of their manifesto last night, 24 hours before their planned to release it.

Walcott said that as campaigning enters the final week. Team BLP is in high spirits.
During the weekend Team BLP, 2018 will launch its youth manifesto titled “Future Forward.” “It will commence on Friday evening at RaddisonAquatica where our political leader and some members of her team will meet and engage with some young voters regarding our plans for them as outlined in the youth manifesto. It will also be streamed live at 6p.m. where viewers will be able to pose questions and comments.
In addition, on Saturday there will be a Youth Rally with performances from top local Dj’s and some performing artist.

Walcott also thanked Barbadians for their warmth and positive response throughout the island. The mammoth crowds in attendance at our events, the embracing of our message of hope, the surge of excitement over our proposed solutions, offering an ease from the squeeze imposed by the Dems.

These policies, he added, will be rolled out upon assuming office and will lighten the heavy burden of Barbadians. The fiscal sadism of the Dems has been eroded.
